Start with the process
The useful question is not whether the company “needs AI” or “needs blockchain”. It is where information is unreliable, decisions are slow, provenance matters or coordination between parties breaks down.
Separate three layers
Operational technology produces data. AI may classify, predict or recommend. Distributed ledgers may preserve provenance or coordinate records between organisations. Mixing the three into one promise makes accountability weaker, not stronger.
Build evidence before scale
A credible pilot defines the baseline, decision owner, acceptable error, human override and evidence required to stop or expand. Technology selection comes after those choices.
